Landon and Amberly

so sweet

still smiling after a LONG afternoon of wake time!

Yesterday afternoon, we had Allie's Baby Dedication at our church(North Point Community Church). It was a special day as we celebrated Allie's life and our commitment to teaching her to run after the heart of God. To prepare, our church had us listen to 4 short messages about parenting and then had us write down 5 values and 2 habits that we want to instill in Allie's life.(3D-3rd time through but always learn something :).  We shared our "homework" with our family at the dedication and encouraged them to help us in our parenting journey.  SO SO SO thankful for a family that shares our values and is willing to encourage and support us!

So what are the 5 values??? Mercy/Compassion/Love of others, Respect/Manners, Integrity, Humility, Self discipline and Purity. ...A few of the attributes of Christ!

2 Habits-daily "God talk", prayer and weekly family time(games, Fri movie night, etc.)

Deuteronomy 6:4-9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."
