From Gustav to ATL

My best friend from college, Kim Black, stopped by for a visit this afternoon after fleeing from hurricane Gustav. She had just arrived in New Orleans and had to turn right back around and head north. Oh well at least she is safe. Thank you hurricane expert, Laura.

What else is new? Matt is busy as ever with class 3 nights a week after working all day. And suffering through a horrible IT class! Yuck! You couldn't pay me to take MBA classes! I'm a science chick! Bring me a bio, micro, patho, or pharmo textbook well before you drop "managing and using information systems" or "multinational financial management" on my desk. Just gives me a headache thinking about it.

Davis is great! Eating like a champ again and full steam ahead. Loves to make car noises whenever we see a car and gets so tickled with Opa.

Me...well I'm good. Living a little more free this week. Going through a study called "Boundaries" and its been really good so far. When to say "yes" and when to say "no"...a biblical approach. Its easy to be compliant, keep stuff in and hold resentment. A work in progress.

Thought for the day...This world is not just for runners
