Reminiscing with the girls

Had a fun get together with a few of my best college friends...Rebecca, Chanler, and Megan. We missed you Elizabeth. Chanler has a baby(Marshall) that's only 8 days younger than Davis. We all went to nursing school together and have so many funny memories. We will never forget our first summer of nursing school and having to watch a video of a physical assessment on a male client. Oh my goodness..our innocent little eyes were opened :) You see it all in nursing school and more!!

We all went to MCG in Athens. The main campus is in Augusta, but there's a satellite in Athens. Best of both worlds-we got to stay at UGA, but got the personal feel of a small campus. And we got football tickets and got to play clubs sport at UGA! Tiny little two hall building on the east side of UGA. 50 people in our graduating class, so we all got to know each other and the teachers really well. So much different than the enormous lecture halls at Georgia. We all met while we were at UGA taking our core classes.

What they're all up to now...Rebecca is currently a travel nurse in Seattle. Works in a trauma OR out there. The crazier the better for her. She's little miss social. Elizabeth(who couldn't make it up) works in Macon in a doctors office that helps people with varicose veins. She's so funny and makes me laugh every time we're together. She has become a big time runner and plans to run a full marathon in November. Megan works in a ped office here in Atlanta. She has an amazing ability to build others up through fun little personal games. Totem poles are her trademark. Such a positive person to be around. A perfect class president. Chanler works in the cardiac unit at Children's here in Atlanta. We did our first triathlon together a couple years ago. She's the perfect hostess and so grounded in life.

Some of the most amazing group of girls one could ever hope for. God brought them into my life at the perfect time! Isn't it amazing how He works! We will always stay in touch.

Thought for the day...According to a British researcher, June 20 2008 is the happiest day of the year! Here's his formula: O + (N x S) + Cpm/T + He. :)
O is time spent outdoors.
N is time spent in nature.
S is more socialization in the summer.
Cpm relates to positive memories of childhood summers.
T factors in temperature.
He is vacation anticipation.
