Happy 2 Months Allie

Sweet Allie turned 2 months old yesterday!  She is just precious, and I love seeing her face light up and eyes sparkle when we talk to her.  Hard to tell from this picture, but she has beautiful long dark eye lashes that she bats when she smiles.  *melts my heart*.  We go to the ped next week, so I'll fill you in with her current stats then.  It'll be fun to compare her with the other two at this age.

Allie is still nursing like a champ!!!  BIG blessing for all of us!  We've learned that mommy eating garlic=gas so we've tired to eliminate that.  LOVES her swing!  Enjoys movement for naps and has trouble napping for more than an hour in her room.  Not a good habit I know but you do what you gotta do right now.  Rough nights up until 3 days ago.  Doesn't want to sleep in her crib.  Tried it for a little while, but she was waking up every 1 1/2hrs or so...wide awake having trouble soothing herself back to sleep and needing us to put her paci back in. **Please find thumb soon!** Or maybe it was a little tummy ache or reflux related or a combination of things.  Regardless, it made for an exhausted mommy and daddy!  So, I put her back in the "nap nanny"(basically a portable recliner) on her floor and it seems to be helping.  She has slept in that thing most of her life but it works.  Thanks Suzanne for lending it to us!

She is eating every 3 hours during the day and I wake her up if she is still asleep.  We've got to get our night sleep better before I let her sleep all day!  Averages 4-4 1/2 hrs between feeds at night.  She set a personal record Sunday night: 8p-2:30am!  That just so happened to be her first night back in the nap nanny.  Back to 3-4 hrs the past couple nights but she stays asleep between feeds which is HUGE.  Yeah for progress!  Crib trial again soon...

Wearing 0-3 and 3 month clothes and size 1 diapers.  A little peacock with her tuft of dark hair at the back of her head.  Has found her hands and enjoys sucking her fist.  Davis and Haley just adore her!  Haley loves to see her eyes and says, "eyes open" and tries to touch them.  Davis enjoys helping change her diaper and they both pull up their stools so they can see her on the changing table.  When I burp her on my shoulder, they love to say, "No head butts Allie"(no lifting your head and slamming it into mommy's shoulder).  She just smiles away when they talk to her.  Can't wait to see all 3 of them playing together soon :)
