John Tanner State Park

Davis came down with my yucky cold yesterday :( He felt terrible last night...it was so sad to see him so upset. We gave him Tylenol at 11p and that helped him sleep through the night. We hoped to head to Carrollton to watch the 1st tri the parks triathlon of the season, but we weren't sure if Davis would be up for it. However, he sounded much better this morning and was in a great mood.

So we headed to John Tanner State Park bright and early! Alarm clock went off at 5:30am. We wanted to cheer on some friends and let Davis get his first taste of tri life. I raced the course 2 years ago(prego last year) and Matt raced last year. Its a sprint triathlon-600 meter swim, 11.2 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run. Congrats to Rich on winning the race in 56 minutes! And to Jenny for placing in her age group! And to Jenni(Rich's wife) for making the trip despite being almost 38 weeks pregnant!

Davis was a trooper and sported his "speedy" tshirt with a turtle on it :) And we enjoyed seeing uncle Landon and Tyson and grabbing brunch at Martin's. Delicious biscuits!!

Thought for the day...Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume on the radio?
