So we arrived in Destin last night! Yep, we ventured down here after Mama Lu got off work to try and beat today's storms. Getting out of Atlanta was crazy...absolutely flooding and got stuck in 2 wrecks. Thankfully, it only put us behind by about 30 min or so. So, we're driving along and police are all over 431! We passed at least 10 or 15! And then we see lights behind us... Yep :) I know we weren't speeding! Anyway, the officer came over and informed us that in AL you have to pass a stopped police car in the left lane. He was very nice and told us to have a good night and that we could pay him $300 if we would like. Yeah right.. Pretty steep if you ask me. Like we fit the profile of someone up to no good...Buick, 2 old ladies, baby, bottles..
The good news. The rain stopped as we drove south and Davis slept the entire 6 1/2 hours! What a good boy!
We headed to the water this morning before the terrible storms hit. Davis took it all in and enjoyed looking at the waves. Really breezy and the water is incredibly choppy. Supposed to be beautiful the rest of the week. Just chillin' inside most of the day today.
We miss u daddy!
Fact for the day...In water that is 50 degrees Fahrenheit, someone is likely to survive for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs

That's the dumbest law I've ever heard!!! BUT, good to know if you're in AL. Thanks for the tip! Hope you have an awesome trip. Looks like fun.
